Paris Fashion Week 2019 was a long-awaited event for many French people and tourists that took place during a period from February 25th to March 5th. This is one of the key occasions in the world of fashion when designers present their new seasonal collection to the public which will be sold in the best boutiques after. Fashion Week is held eight times a year - in spring and autumn in four metropolitan cities: Paris, Milan, New York, and London. There are also Chinese, Brazilian, Turkish and Japanese versions, which, however, are less popular. My young client, Olya, came to one of the greatest festivals of beauty and style to participate in the defile and replenish her portfolio with model tests in Paris.
With her appearance, Olya reminded me of the famous Hungarian model Barbara Palvin, a member of Victoria's Secret, and the face of L'Oreal Corporation. Both of them have clear features of a classic babyface type.
We chose the street style photo shoot in Paris as the primary format and were shooting right on the elegant streets and in Jardin des Tuileries. Good model tests are about photos that can best convey the merits of the model appearance and reveal her/his professional abilities. In this case, special preparations and image lose their crucial role. With the most simple natural make-up and hairstyle, 16-year-old Olya did her best to demonstrate her skills in posing and emotionality. The girl put on a pink dress with ruffles without additional accessories, so as not to distract attention and steel-colored sandals on a high stiletto which elegantly emphasized her model figure. Despite the young age, like a real professional model, she was skillfully acting in motion and, in general, looked very dynamic and harmonious in the frame.
We continued this fashion photo shoot in Paris in a new image; Olya changed in a white lace short dress and put on a marsh-colored leather jacket. Unusual, consistently stylish, sophisticated and mysterious - these are the best epithets to describe Olya in this role.
Having reached Jardin des Tuileries, the central garden of Paris, located between Rivoli Street, Place de la Concorde, the Seine and the Louvre, Olya again transformed by wearing a bright pink blouse with a jabot and mini white-pink shorts. Here, far from the city bustle, in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere, we continued to work. Since the purpose of our shooting was to focus on the model herself, you won’t see the typical architectural landmarks as a decoration. Instead, Olya is the central component of all pictures. The girl has already managed to appear in a new light, airy chiffon dress with a snake-like print and black boots, still keeping the image of a young, but an incredibly stylish and elegant diva.
I’m sure that Olya will have a great future in modeling and brilliant career of the level of Barbara Palvin because with such stunning appearance and high professionalism, there can be no other outcome!
